The curriculum, developed by the prestigious Rob Peetoom Academy in Europe, is designed to ensure students gain hands-on experience working in real salons, supervised by professional instructors.
In addition to technical hairdressing skills, students also learn essential life skills, including communication, English, work ethic, and basic finance. This holistic approach ensures graduates are well-prepared for their future careers, making them highly sought after in the beauty industry.
Free Tuition, Housing, and Support
What makes the Rob Peetoom School truly remarkable is that it offers all of this at no cost to the students. Tuition, housing, meals, and a monthly allowance of IDR 1,000,000 are provided, ensuring that young people from underprivileged backgrounds have the opportunity to pursue their passion without financial burden. This initiative is a vital lifeline for youth looking to escape poverty through education and skill development.
Operational Process of Rob Peetoom School
The Rob Peetoom School follows a structured, seven-step process designed to nurture and train the next generation of hairdressing professionals. Each step is carefully designed to ensure students receive hands-on experience, valuable theoretical knowledge, and industry connections, preparing them for a successful career in the beauty industry.
Scouting: The process begins with scouting talent from vocational schools and the public. The main target is youth groups between 16 to 24 years old that come from underprivileged backgrounds. This includes conducting demos to introduce students to the program and the opportunities it offers.
Interview & Selection: After scouting, candidates go through a rigorous interview process. This includes assessments and a psychological test, with the involvement of parents to ensure the right fit for the program.
Class Period: Once selected, students enter an intensive training phase. Classes run from 9AM to 5PM, combining theory and practical work, with instruction and supervision provided by professional teachers.
Salon Practice: Students move on to real-world practice in the salon environment, where they work with actual clients. Under teacher supervision, they gain experience in real-life hairdressing scenarios from 9AM to 5PM.
Apprenticeship: The best-performing students are offered apprenticeship opportunities at designated salons in Bali, giving them a chance to apply their skills in a professional setting.
Final Test: After completing their apprenticeship, students must pass a final test, assessing their overall skill and knowledge in all areas of hairdressing.
Work Placement: The final step is job placement. Rob Peetoom School collaborates with salons in Bali and throughout Indonesia to help graduates secure employment, ensuring they start their careers with strong industry connections.
