In 2009, a vision took root as Tony Smith and his family ventured from Australia to Bali, joining forces with longtime friend and resort management expert, I Ketut Subina. Their combined expertise laid the foundation for what would become FINNS Bali. With a shared vision and unwavering determination, they set out to create not just resorts but destinations that would captivate visitors and locals alike.

The Birth of an Icon

Their initial foray into Bali’s business landscape began with the establishment of Bali Res Centre. However, it was their unwavering vision for Semara Resort & Spa in Seminyak that ignited the spark of their ambition. The meticulous planning and execution by the Semara team resulted in a boutique resort renowned for its elegance and charm. From the Cubby House Kids Club to the Semara Spa, every detail reflected their passion for creating unforgettable experiences.
In 2011, Semara Collection expanded its horizons with the addition of Semara Luxury Villa Resort and FINNS Beach Club. Under Semara management, these establishments swiftly gained international acclaim as premier luxury destinations and sought-after wedding venues. However, the vision did not end there. Recognizing the potential for growth, the Semara team embarked on a bold move in June 2016, relocating FINNS Beach Club from Ungasan to its current prime location in Berawa. The new site, formerly housing the tennis court of the owners’ family villa, Villa Gajah Putih, provided the perfect canvas for FINNS Beach Club to flourish and captivate guests with its unparalleled coastal charm in this up and coming area.
In August 2018, FINNS Bali opened its second beach club – FINNS VIP Beach Club. Located adjacent to FINNS Beach Club, FINNS VIP Beach Club offers unparalleled services to guests enjoying this stunning location. This addition further solidified FINNS Bali’s reputation as a purveyor of unparalleled luxury and hospitality.

The Evolution of FINNS Recreation Club

The rapid growth of FINNS Bali didn’t stop there. In 2013, the group added Canggu Club to its portfolio, undergoing a 12-month expansion and renovation before relaunching it as FINNS Recreation Club in 2014. This sprawling 4-hectare estate became Bali’s premier entertainment and sporting venue, offering something for everyone, from a fitness center and tennis courts to a water park and bowling alley, open to both members and day visitors seeking unforgettable experiences.

Making a Positive Impact

With the rebranding of Semara Collection to FINNS Bali in June 2017, the focus shifted squarely onto the brand’s flagship establishments: FINNS Beach Club and FINNS Recreation Club. These venues epitomized the essence of the FINNS brand, offering guests a seamless blend of luxury, leisure, and community spirit.
As FINNS Bali celebrates its journey, it remains deeply rooted in its commitment to the community and the environment. Through various initiatives, from providing complimentary venues to local organizations to hosting charitable events, FINNS Bali strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those around them.

FINNS Beach Club has been recognized as the Best Beach Club at The Beat Awards in 2017 and the Best Beach & Pool Club at the NOW Bali! Awards in 2019. FINNS Recreation Club has also been honored with the Business Challenges Award of Excellence in 2017, cementing its reputation as a world-class destination.
As the years passed, FINNS Beach Club and FINNS Recreation Club evolved into more than just venues; they became icons of Balinese hospitality, drawing visitors from across the globe. Today, FINNS Bali stands as a testament to the vision, dedication, and innovation of its founders – a beacon of hospitality excellence in the heart of paradise. Sunday Strength & Conditioning

Is a workout strategy to maximize calorie burn both during and after your workout. To achieve this result, you give a maximum physical effort through a series of compound movements (using more than one muscle group at a time) for a short, intense period.

TRX Training
Through a range of coordinated moves and using the principles of gravity and leverage, TRX incorporates hundreds of exercises that have revolutionized bodyweight training. Yin Yoga
Enjoy the feelings of rejuvenation and steadiness that arise from a Yin Yoga practice as you slow down, move from noise to silence, from agitation to calm, from complexity to simplicity. This practice integrates the ancient Yoga teachings with Meridian Theory as taught in Chinese Medicine. Engage the body’s natural healing power as you actively nourish and harmonize the body’s vital life force or chi. As the whole body rests and opens with long held poses, the natural healing power of chi is used to rejuvenate and repair the area of focus.
Vinyasa yoga
Vinyasa (translates to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Our Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness.
Hatha yoga
Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that uses physical techniques to try to preserve and channel vital force or energy. The Sanskrit word हठ haṭha literally means “force”, alluding to a system of physical techniques.
Grounding & Stress release
Grounding is to be connected to and aware of the body and the emotions, enabling us to work on releasing stress and physical tensions. The result is increased awareness, presence, aliveness, more energy and a peaceful mind.
Breath work

Is a type of exercise that focuses on consciously manipulating your breathing rate and depth so that you become more aware of it and can gain various benefits.
